Twilight at Cedar Key
A couple of twilight shots captured just after sundown at Cedar Key…
The above shot was captured along G Street. Atsena Otie Key is seen in the background.
Great Blue Heron resting
While driving along Airport road in our golf cart, we noticed this Great Blue Heron taking a rest in the vegetation beside the road.
The bird appeared to be day dreaming…

Eastern Towhee in Cedar Key
While taking a golf cart ride into the far reaches of Cedar Key
, we kept hearing a unique bird call. Even though we could tell it was very close to us, it took a while to find the little critter.
White Ibis Silhouette in Cedar Key
While taking a walk this afternoon we spotted a White Ibis sitting atop a dead tree across the road from the Cedar Key cemetery.
American Avocets in Cedar Key
On our way out of town today we noticed a bunch of white birds in an area of the salt marsh. Having my EF400mm lens along with me, I naturally had to stop and get some shots of them.
It turns out that the birds were American Avocets.
Abraham Lincoln
I recently ran across a quote by Abraham Lincoln that I really like.
Now, I know that not everyone viewing this blog will believe in God, but I do and so I wanted to share this quote from one of America’s greatest Presidents.
This image was captured at the Cedar Key beach during a full moon. I thought the combination of man-made objects highlighted by the God-made moon in its perfect orbit was a fitting backdrop for this quote.
