This morning I took a short walk in a small section of Cedar Key. Here are a few shots from this walk…
I started at the beach by the Old Fenimore Mill Condos…
From there I took a walk along a section of the old railroad trail…

While checking one of the piers along the trail, this juvenile Black-crowned Night-Heron swooped in and landed just a few feet from me…

A little further down the trail I came upon this Great Egret…

Next I came upon this typical Cedar Key scene…
~ ~
A Roseate Spoonbill (lots of them here now), an Osprey, and a Yellow Warbler…

Lots of Butterflies…

Lots of Dragon flies and honey bees….
~ ~
And Hibiscus flowers with butterflies…
All of these and much more are typical sights around this little island.
